Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This policy explains which cookies Subicon uses, what each one is for and how you can manage them.

Subicon does not use advertising cookies, and does not embed any third-party audience-measurement or tracking tool.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. It allows the site to recognise your device and store information about your preferences or your activity. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains for a set duration.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the Service to work. Without them, signing in, checkout and payment cannot function. They cannot be refused while you use the Service.

  • Session and authentication cookies issued by Supabase, our authentication provider — they keep you signed in
  • Short-lived security cookies protecting Discord and Stripe connection flows against cross-site request forgery; they last only as long as the connection flow

3. Sale attribution cookies

When you arrive through an affiliate link or through Discover, a cookie records where you came from so that the sale can be credited to the right party.

  • A cookie set when you follow an affiliate link. It is a session cookie: it disappears when you close your browser, and an affiliate is only credited if the purchase happens during the same browsing session as the click
  • A cookie set when you arrive from Discover, our discovery directory. It lasts 24 hours by default

4. Preference cookies

These cookies remember a choice you made yourself, so you do not have to repeat it.

  • The display language you selected (1 year)
  • The store you last opened in your dashboard, so it reopens on the right one (1 year)
  • Interface state cookies, for example whether the member sidebar of a community chat is open

5. Third-party cookies

On checkout pages, Stripe loads its own scripts to process payment and detect fraud, and places its own cookies. These are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy, not by ours. Videos delivered through our video providers may also place cookies strictly necessary for playback.

6. No advertising, no third-party analytics

Subicon embeds no advertising cookie, no social network tracker and no third-party audience-measurement tool. The cookies listed above are either necessary to deliver the Service or record a preference you set yourself.

7. Managing cookies

You can accept, refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Refusing strictly necessary cookies will prevent core features such as signing in and checkout from working. Deleting preference cookies simply resets those preferences to their defaults.

8. Changes to this policy

If we add cookies serving a new purpose, this page will be updated before those cookies are used.
